The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the Round 1 seat allotment results for the NEET-UG 2026 All India Quota, AIIMS, JIPMER, and various central and deemed universities. Candidates participating in this round must complete the admission process by 31 August. This year’s process features a ‘freeze and float’ system and expanded online document verification. Regarding financial implications, the MCC has implemented a ‘free exit’ policy for Round 1, allowing students to withdraw without losing their security deposit. However, students allotted a seat in Round 2 who fail to join will face forfeiture of their deposit. ~~Prior to the allotment, the MCC extended~~ Following the Round 1 ~~choice-filling deadline to 11:59 PM on 18 August.
