The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the Round 1 seat allotment results for the NEET-UG 2026 All India Quota, AIIMS, JIPMER, and various central and deemed universities. Candidates participating in this round must complete the admission process by 31 August. This year’s process features a ‘freeze and float’ system and expanded online document verification. Regarding financial implications, the MCC has implemented a ‘free exit’ policy for Round 1, allowing students to withdraw without losing their security deposit. However, students allotted a seat in Round 2 who fail to join will face forfeiture of their deposit. Prior to the allotment, the MCC extended Following the Round 1 choice-filling deadline to 11:59 PM on 18 August. Following cycle, the closure of this window, seat allotment results were expected on 19 August, with reporting to institutes scheduled between 20 August and 25 August. The MCC has now released detailed the schedule for Round 2 counseling, covering counseling schedule for All India Quota, Deemed University, and Central University seats. Registration and fee payment are set scheduled for 3 to 8 September, with choice filling available until 9 September. A specific window for locking choices is set between 4:00 PM on 8 September and 10:00 AM on 9 September. Seat allotment results for Round 2 are expected on 11 September, and candidates must report with reporting to their respective institutes required between 12 and 18 September. State-level counseling for Round 2 is scheduled to run from for 7 to 11 September. State-level processes continue to be influenced by the MCC schedule. In Karnataka, At the KEA has delayed state level, the KCET West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) is expected to release Round 2 1 seat allotment results for medical, engineering, MBBS and pharmacy BDS courses pending the finalization of the MCC Round 1 process. Similarly, under the BFUHS Punjab NEET-UG Round state quota on 31 August after 4 PM. Allotted candidates in West Bengal must complete admission and physical reporting between 1 allotment has been delayed due to the extended choice-filling window September and 5 September.
