Indian bus cooling market expansion

Overview

Trans ACNR and Eberspaecher Suetrak have announced plans to expand their presence in the Indian bus and commercial vehicle cooling market.

Trans ACNR intends to nearly triple its production capacity by expanding its Rajasthan plant and opening new facilities in Shoolagiri, India, by December 2026, and Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, by early 2027. The company also plans to diversify into data center cooling and battery energy storage systems. Managing Director Shatrughan Kumar noted that customer priorities are shifting toward “total cost of ownership and long-term reliability.”

Eberspaecher Suetrak introduced new thermal management solutions, such as a 50 kW rooftop air-conditioning unit for diesel buses, to meet the needs of larger vehicles in intense heat. The company is increasing localization and manufacturing investments to support the industry’s transition toward electrification.
