Indian regional tourism and business summits

Overview

In October 2026, various Indian states hosted large-scale events to promote regional economic growth. The Odisha Travel Bazaar concluded in Bhubaneswar, facilitating over 9,000 business-to-business and business-to-government meetings. Organized by the Odisha Tourism Department and FICCI, the event focused on expanding the state’s presence in domestic and international tourism markets, specifically highlighting heritage, wildlife, and tribal culture. The bazaar also prioritized investment in the hospitality sector and the promotion of MICE tourism through a new digital incentive portal.

Following this, the Vibrant Goa Global Business Summit was scheduled for late October in Goa. This summit aimed to connect local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with global markets by hosting over 300 international buyers from more than 50 countries. The event featured a ‘Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet’ designed to facilitate direct interaction between international buyers and selected MSMEs to bolster export potential.
