Indian state government recruitment drives

Overview

Various Indian state governments have announced multiple recruitment drives for administrative, police, and service roles.

In late August 2026, Karnataka announced 34 vacancies for the Karnataka State Rural Livelihood Promotion Society across the Udupi and Haveri districts. Concurrently, the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board proposed approximately 3,000 vacancies for the Lokrakshak Cadre, with notifications expected in late 2026.

By early September 2026, additional recruitment notices were issued in Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir. The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission announced 553 Inter Level positions, such as Junior Assistant and Computer Operator. Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board announced 2,863 vacancies for Class-IV Multi-Tasking Staff and Sanitation Worker roles across several departments.
