Overview

Indiana Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray announced in late July that he will not seek re-election to his leadership post. His decision followed a dispute with Donald Trump regarding a mid-decade congressional redistricting plan; Bray had voted against the plan, after which Trump described him as “foolishly led” on Truth Social.

In August, the Indiana Senate Republican Caucus endorsed Senator Chris Garten to succeed Bray.
