In late July 2026, Indonesia’s Makassar District Court held a briefing to align stakeholders on a new electronic case administration system and a Supreme Court circular on casation procedures, emphasizing greater transparency, integrity and the elimination of gratuities in judicial services. Concurrently, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in Bima conducted a legal outreach and technical assistance session for parish‑level paralegals, focusing on certification and expanding access to justice in rural areas.

A week later, the Ministry of Law announced that, beginning in September 2026, 470 of its services will be offered exclusively through digital channels. The move is framed as part of a broader digital transformation aimed at faster, more efficient public and business services, strengthening legal certainty and supporting the investment climate. The policy also includes a temporary fee waiver for annual report approvals of limited companies until the end of 2026.
