Indonesia KIP Kuliah scholarship management

Efforts to manage and support the Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) Kuliah scholarship program in Indonesia have focused on both administrative accuracy and student engagement.

Initially, the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Commission VIII emphasized the need for universities to improve recipient data accuracy by integrating it with the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN). This integration aims to ensure subsidies reach students in the lowest economic deciles. To support this, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) noted that data must remain dynamic through active public participation.

Following these administrative focuses, universities have transitioned toward supporting the scholarship recipients through academic and social engagement. Institutions such as UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanudin Banten and Universitas Riau have hosted seminars and gatherings to motivate KIP-K students. These events encourage recipients to engage with national challenges, use their assistance responsibly, and complete their studies on time to contribute to society.
