Indonesian police drug investigations and facility raids

Overview

On August 10, 2026, Bareskrim Polri raided the HH Club Planet 3.0 Pub & KTV in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, following allegations of drug distribution. Authorities detained 32 individuals and reported finding ecstasy stored inside a green safe at the venue. Investigators suspected the club’s management might be involved in a broader drug network.

Following subsequent allegations regarding the Bareskrim detention center, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) conducted an inspection. Police Public Relations Chief Irjen Johnny Eddizon Isir denied claims that the facility serves as a drug den, stating that drug tests for inmates returned negative results.

While no narcotics were found, the inspection revealed several procedural breaches and management violations. Officers discovered unauthorized facilities, such as kitchens, as well as hidden cash and mobile phones within cells. The Propam Division has launched investigations into the guarding officers involved to address these oversight failures.
