Indra defense technology unveilings

Overview

At the Unvex drone trade fair in San Javier, Spain, Indra introduced two new defense technologies designed for high-volume engagement and cost-effective warfare.

On September 16, the company unveiled Squall, a low-cost cruise missile capable of striking targets over 300 kilometers away. Designed for land and naval platforms, the missile uses a low-altitude flight profile to evade radar and incorporates multiple guidance systems to resist electronic jamming. The system is intended to enable saturation attacks that overwhelm enemy air defenses.

Following this, on September 17, Indra presented the Drizzle family of autonomous interceptor drones. These drones are designed to counter mass drone attacks and loitering munitions. The system includes individual interceptors capable of speeds over 400 km/h and a mothership drone that can extend the total system range to approximately 130 km. The Drizzle utilizes electro-optical and infrared sensors for target identification and can be integrated into existing counter-UAS systems or mounted on vehicles and helicopters.
