These included the ‘VISION MATE’ AI-based vision inspection system for sectors like semiconductors and automotive, as well as autonomous control AI and ‘KBC Digital Twin’ virtual process simulation tools.

By mid-September 2026, Japanese firms NTN, KDDI Technology, and Takano Co., Ltd. expanded on these trends by showcasing specialized high-speed inspection solutions. These advancements, such as the ‘i-WRIST Type-U’ and ‘TAKANO AI’, utilize AI and proprietary imaging to detect minute defects in real-time, specifically targeting high-precision industries like 5G and semiconductor manufacturing. NTN and KDDI Technology also introduced an automated visual inspection solution combining the ‘MiraLens’ AI application with the ‘i-WRIST’ module to manage complex shapes and reduce labor.

Ikegami Tsushinki Corporation will hold the ‘Ikegami Osaka Tech Showcase’ on October 15–16, focusing on pharmaceutical inspection equipment and labor-saving technologies. Other upcoming demonstrations include Athena Technologies showcasing private AI solutions at AI Expo Fukuoka 2026, and Studist presenting AI-driven manual creation tools at Food Factory Week Osaka.
