Industrial Edge AI ecosystem development

Overview

Advantech is expanding its WISE-Edge Developer Architecture (WEDA) ecosystem to streamline the development, validation, and deployment of Edge AI for industrial and enterprise applications. Through collaborations with Intel, Qualcomm, and AMD, the ecosystem aims to simplify AI workloads.

In parallel, Apacer is addressing the power and thermal challenges inherent in Edge AI systems. Because AI workloads often require continuous processing, power efficiency and heat management are critical. Apacer’s CoreEnergy technology provides firmware-based control for industrial SSDs, allowing users to configure transfer speeds to reduce power consumption and heat generation, helping to prevent thermal throttling in compact or fanless environments.
