Ineos Grenadier market and military expansion

Ineos Automotive has expanded the application and variety of its Grenadier vehicle line through both defense contracts and new consumer models.

In the defense sector, the company secured military contracts with Italy and Austria. Italy, the first NATO member to place a sizable order, expects deliveries of military-specification vehicles to begin in early 2027. In Austria, a contract awarded to Valentin Tusch GmbH will provide modified, armored Grenadiers for defense and interior security forces, with trials scheduled to start before the end of 2026.

Simultaneously, the company has introduced specialized editions for the commercial market. Following the limited series Trialmaster X in Mexico, Ineos unveiled the Grenadier Helmsman for the 2027 model year. Designed for customers with a nautical or watersports lifestyle, the Helmsman is available in Station Wagon and Quartermaster pickup configurations.

The Helmsman features a ‘Whiteout Blue’ metallic paint with a contrasting roof, a Dark Exterior Pack, and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The Station Wagon variant includes a rear access ladder, while the interior features black leather heated seats with oyster-colored inserts. This release marks the first in a planned series of bespoke Grenadier versions, with prices starting from £70,995.
