INMO smart glasses product developments
Overview
INMO International Technology Limited has faced product safety challenges and subsequent technological releases. The company issued a voluntary recall for approximately 1,643 INMO Air3 smart glasses in the United States and 120 units in Canada due to overheating risks. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada warned that the device’s left temple could cause burns to the face, forehead, or ears. The manufacturer addressed this via a firmware update rather than refunds.
Following these issues, the company introduced the INMO GO3 smart glasses. This new model features MicroLED displays, AI integration with Google Gemini and OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and real-time translation for 98 languages. To mitigate privacy concerns related to its integrated cameras, the GO3 includes a physical lens cover.
