Institute for Education professional development in Monteneg

Overview

The Institute for Education in Montenegro has implemented several professional development initiatives for educators and school administrators.

Initial programs focused on social and emotional skills through a two-day training titled ‘My Values and Virtues – A Program for the Development of Social and Emotional Skills of Children and Adolescents.’ This training aimed to help educators from Podgorica, Bar, and Kolašin integrate holistic development into regular classroom instruction.

Subsequent training efforts expanded to include organizational management and specialized literacy. A module for 26 newly elected directors from various northern regions, as well as Nikšić and Tivat, covered institutional action plans, teamwork, and organizational culture. Furthermore, a seminar held in Bar in collaboration with the Central Bank of Montenegro focused on improving financial literacy and social entrepreneurship to assist students in making informed financial decisions.
