Institutional investors boost Freeport-McMoRan holdings
Entities: Janus Henderson Group PLC · Abercrombie & Fitch Co. · Steven Adams · Freeport-McMoRan Inc. · First American Financial Corp.
Overview
In early July, institutional investors began increasing their stakes in Freeport-McMoRan, citing strong copper demand. By the end of the month, the trend had intensified: Janus Henderson Group more than doubled its position to roughly 11.5 million shares (about $676 million), while other firms such as Arrowstreet Capital, Franklin Resources, Amundi and Victory Capital also raised their holdings. Collectively, institutional owners now control roughly 80.8 % of Freeport-McMoRan. The same report also noted a sharp rise in WhiteFiber shares after analysts upgraded price targets, but the primary focus remained on the growing institutional ownership of Freeport-McMoRan.
