Concurrently, in Cambodia, a British national was detained at Techo International Airport after authorities found 34.5 kilograms of suspected cannabis in her luggage; she claimed she was unaware the suitcase contained drugs.

By early October, authorities in Kenya intercepted two vehicles in Busia and Bungoma counties, recovering approximately 66 kilograms of cannabis and arresting four suspects.
