International Festival of Performing Arts in Uruguay

Overview

The 10th International Festival of Performing Arts (Fidae) is scheduled to take place from October 9 to 18. San José will serve as a host city, alongside Montevideo and Paysandú. Under the theme “Lo grande y lo pequeño,” the festival will feature works from nine different countries and various national productions across theater, dance, circus, and puppetry.

Of the 33 total proposals, 20 will focus on national productions. The event includes five free theatrical performances at the Teatro Macció and will conclude with a performance of “Manos Sucias” by the Comedia Nacional. Other scheduled activities include performing arts workshops, a theatrical podcast, and an exhibition at the Espacio Cultural Ignacio Espino.
