International folklore festivals in Romania

In July 2026, the 19th edition of the International Folklore Festival ‘Song of Love along the Danube’ was held in Brăila, Romania. The event featured twenty-seven competitors from Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Serbia, Ukraine, and Bulgaria. Alice-Olivia Ghile of Romania received the Trofeu, while other prizes were awarded to participants from Romania, Ukraine, and Serbia.

This event included ensembles from nine different countries, such as Moldova, India, and Spain, under the CIOFF aegis. Additionally, the ‘Someșul’ Folk Ensemble from Romania performed in Glogoni and Nicolinț, Serbia, to support Romanian communities in the Vojvodina region.
