In July 2026, Momax opened its largest Hong Kong outlet at Tuen Mun City Plaza, marking its eighth store in the territory. Following this, Japanese lifestyle chain LOFT returned to the Hong Kong market in August after a 15-year absence. Represented by the YAICHI Group, LOFT opened a one-year limited pop-up store at the MOKO mall in Mong Kok. The venture involves an eight-figure Hong Kong dollar investment and features over 3,500 products, more than half of which are exclusive to the Hong Kong market. To appeal to consumers, LOFT is implementing a “same price as Japan” strategy, with pricing tied to Japanese retail rates and the yen-to-HKD exchange rate. The program involves 42 different cosmetic brands and aims to recycle used containers into products like shopping baskets, while converting accumulated points into donations for environmental projects such as forest restoration in Noto.
