International thoroughbred racing developments

International thoroughbred racing results have highlighted several key performers across North America and Europe as contenders prepare for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

In early September, significant victories were recorded at Del Mar, Kentucky Downs, and various European venues. Notable performances included Bob Baffert’s win with Hughes in the Del Mar Futurity and the European mare Tiffany’s victory in the Kentucky Turf Cup Invitational Stakes. In Europe, the unbeaten juvenile Push The Boat Out and the TDN Rising Star Avec Toi also secured important wins.

By October, the focus shifted toward Breeders’ Cup preparation. In Europe, True Love and Blue Bolt secured Group 1 victories at ParisLongchamp and Newmarket, respectively, with trainers suggesting they may target the Breeders’ Cup Mile. Caballo De Mar also achieved success at ParisLongchamp in the G1 Qatar Prix du Cadran. In North America, Hughes extended an unbeaten record with a win in the American Pharoah Stakes, while U.S.S. Valor won the Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park, though the colt’s connections indicated he would bypass the Breeders’ Cup to pursue the 2027 Kentucky Derby.
