Iran 1405 national university admissions process

The field selection process for the 1405 national entrance exam and student-teacher candidates in Iran began in early October. Applicants were permitted to register up to 150 preferred academic codes through the comprehensive national exam system, covering various categories such as national exam admissions, academic record-based admissions, and specialized programs at Farhangian and Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training Universities.

By October 18, the deadline for university registration and field selection based solely on academic records expired following two previous extensions. The process differentiated between theoretical diploma holders, who are evaluated on written GPA, and technical or vocational diploma holders, who are assessed using overall GPA. The Sanjesh Organization noted that students who previously registered for the national entrance exam but were absent could select non-exam fields, but warned that attempting to register for the academic-record-only track after completing national exam field selection would invalidate the latter registration.
