While welcoming intentions to strengthen ties, the Lebanese government emphasized that diplomatic relations must be conducted through official constitutional and legal institutions. The Ministry underscored that respect for national sovereignty is a “mutual principle that does not allow for selective application or violations,” expressing a desire to approach issues with a “rational, open mind and a constructive attitude.”
