The professional field for the men’s Ironman World Championship in Hawaii has been finalized with 56 athletes. Additionally, Italian triathlete Elisabetta Curridori is confirmed to compete, noting she is currently focusing on heat and humidity adaptation in Banyoles following a recent bout with plantar fasciitis. Following the finalization of the current championship field, fields, IRONMAN announced the first 20 qualifying races for the 2027 Kona World Championship. These full-distance events are scheduled to occur between August 22 and December 6, 2026, across various countries including Estonia, France, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, Spain, South Korea, Portugal, Australia, and Argentina. Each race provides between 45 and 100 qualifying slots.
