Israel diplomatic expulsions from Gaza coordination center

Overview

Israel has ordered the removal of Dutch representatives from the International Gaza Support Center (IGSC) in Kiryat Gat. The IGSC is a US-led civil-military coordination hub established by US Central Command to facilitate humanitarian aid, monitor ceasefire agreements, and coordinate Gaza stabilization efforts.

The decision, approved by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was prompted by what the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs described as a ‘wave of anti-Israel policies’ from the Netherlands. Specifically, Israel cited Dutch legislation that would ban trade in products originating from Israeli settlements in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights.

This expulsion follows the earlier removal of Spanish officials from the center in April. Reports indicate that Israel may also consider excluding officials from the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany as diplomatic tensions rise over settlement policies and trade restrictions.
