~~In late August 2026, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) intensified operations against Hamas leadership and infrastructure.~~ Following the ~~earlier elimination~~ September 23 killing of ~~several senior figures,~~ Hamas finance head Muhammad Abu Alwan, the IDF and Shin Bet announced the ~~deaths~~ elimination of ~~two Hamas Nukhba terrorists~~ three additional operatives on September 27. In central Gaza, Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr was killed during an operation in the ~~Khan Yunis area: Razek Sahil Suleiman Abu Shahma, a bodyguard for the late Yahya Sinwar, and Hazem Mousa. Both men were~~ Nuseirat area. Authorities identified Sakr as ~~participants in~~ the individual filmed on a motorcycle during the October 7, 2023, ~~infiltration of~~ attacks, whom they linked to the ~~Re’im base. Additionally, Mohammad Abu Asaad, a member~~ abduction of ~~the Nukhba Force,~~ Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or. Sakr was ~~killed~~ reportedly affiliated with international jihadist organizations and involved in ~~Deir al-Balah. On August 31 and September 2, separate strike, Israeli ~~special~~ forces ~~and the Shin Bet conducted~~ killed Muhammad Hamad Muhammad Gabain, a ~~daylight raid~~ commander in ~~the al-Katiba area~~ Hamas’ military wing. Gabain was accused of ~~western Gaza City to capture Muein al-Arabid, whom Prime Minister Netanyahu identified as~~ involvement in the ~~head~~ detention of ~~Hamas’s internal security apparatus. Hamas denounced the raid as a ‘criminal operation,’ claiming al-Arabid’s role was limited to combating collaborators,~~ nine Israeli hostages and ~~reported that his wife~~ was ~~killed and several children were injured. Hamas also warned that the raid could cause~~ allegedly working to restore Hamas' military capabilities in violation of the existing ~~ceasefire, established as part~~ ceasefire. Additionally, the IDF reported the death of Adi Adli Abd Al-Aaser, identified as a ~~U.S.-led plan, to collapse. On September 23, Israeli leadership announced that an aerial strike on~~ Hamas sniper, in a ~~vehicle~~ strike in ~~the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis killed Muhammad Abu Alwan, the head of Hamas’s finance department.~~ southern Gaza. These operations continue amid ongoing military activity despite a U.S.-mediated ceasefire agreement.
