Israel-Hezbollah-Hamas military escalation

Military friction has increased between Israel and groups including Hezbollah and Hamas, with intelligence suggesting coordination between the latter two supported by Iran. In southern Lebanon, a strategic struggle has developed around Ali al-Tahir Hill, where Hezbollah attempts to monitor Israeli troop movements and supply tunnel networks. A drone attack in this sector resulted in serious injuries to Israeli soldiers.

Following these attacks, the Israeli military conducted strikes in southern Lebanon targeting infrastructure and Hezbollah leadership, which Lebanese authorities reported caused eleven deaths, including civilians.

Diplomatic efforts mediated by the United States to reach an agreement on the disarmament of armed groups and a phased Israeli withdrawal have reached a stalemate. Hezbollah refuses to discuss disarmament while Israeli forces occupy Lebanese territory, while Israel maintains it will not withdraw until the threat is eliminated.
