Italian educational and maritime institution milestones

Overview

Various educational institutions in Italy are marking significant milestones through international projects and anniversaries. In Flumeri, the Istituto Comprensivo Statale ‘Benedetto Croce’ has initiated the Erasmus+ project ‘Rewrite the Future’, which partners with schools in Poland, Slovenia, and Turkey to focus on creative writing, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development goals. Additionally, the Istituto ‘Florio’ in Erice is celebrating its 30th anniversary while undergoing facility renovations.

In the maritime sector, the Escola Europea de Short Sea Shipping is commemorating its 20th anniversary with events across Mediterranean port cities. In Civitavecchia, the institution inaugurated the Areté Gardens and a sculpture symbolizing the link between Civitavecchia and Barcelona, while renewing a memorandum of understanding to support the ‘Rome Port Academy’ training project. Celebrations continued in Palermo with the unveiling of a commemorative sculpture oriented toward Genoa, highlighting maritime cooperation between Sicilian and Genoese ports.
