Italian literary and book industry celebrations

Overview

Italy is marking several cultural milestones within its book industry and library systems. The Associazione Librai Italiani (Ali) is celebrating its 80th anniversary in Rome with the ‘Stati Generali delle Librerie’ event and the release of the first Ali Report, which analyzes the economic and territorial characteristics of the national bookstore market.

Simultaneously, the Rome Library Institution is commemorating its 30th anniversary through the ‘Geografie di lettura. Le biblioteche degli autori’ series, featuring various authors at city libraries to promote social inclusion. Complementing these institutional events, specific literary series such as ‘Libro, donna, altro’ are highlighting female authors through presentations at bookstores like Feltrinelli, alongside individual novel launches in cities such as Foggia.
