Italian municipal road safety upgrades

Italian municipalities continue to expand road‑safety and mobility projects. In Sardinia, Capoterra’s mayor confirmed a €1 million programme that will deliver the two roundabouts approved earlier and install new bus shelters on State Road 195. Nearby Fermo has finished its pedestrian pathway in the Capodarco district and repaved Via Leti with a €125 k budget, while the town also continues work on local street resurfacing.

Teramo launched resurfacing on several main streets, including Via Potito Randi and Via Gammarana, scheduling works to limit traffic disruption. In Umbria, Corciano added €2 million to its 2026 road‑maintenance plan, covering more than 25 streets, and Miramare reopened the historic Castello parking lot after PNRR‑funded utility upgrades and a full resurfacing of its access road. Local assessors and municipal councils coordinate the initiatives, aiming to reduce accidents, ease congestion and promote safer urban and rural mobility across the country.
