In early August 2026 a series of local heritage and religious celebrations were scheduled across Italy. On 5 August, Serradifalco in Sicily staged a historic reenactment honoring Saint Leonard, while the nearby town of Serra San Bruno in Calabria launched a month‑long “Estate del Brigante” program featuring talks, performances and workshops.

Erice’s festivities for Santa Maria di Custonaci took place from 16 to 27 August, highlighting a torch procession, a week‑long novena, musical concerts and a solemn mass.

Together, these events illustrate a coordinated wave of cultural and religious programming that highlights regional traditions, historic commemorations and community participation throughout August in various Italian locales.
