In late July 2026, Italian municipalities began large-scale urban regeneration. On 6 September 2026, the region announced a nearly €10 million support package for seven new business programs focused on research, development, and innovation. This initiative aims to catalyze over €108 million in total investments and is expected to create more than 150 new jobs across sectors such as artificial intelligence, advanced logistics, and hydrogen-powered engines. Concurrently, officials in Ravenna discussed the expansion of the ‘Nautica Valley’ with Quick Group to strengthen the regional nautical supply chain. On 8 September 2026, the Municipality of Rimini officially joined the ‘Insieme, con cura’ pact, a regional framework for work, climate, and the social economy.
