Dr Alice Pari warned that the Adriatic coast at Cesenatico and surrounding towns (Riccione, Ravenna, Veneto, Pesaro) may become a new nesting corridor, urging tourists and citizens to protect tracks. In Sardinia, the 30‑kg female “Uga” completed a six‑month rehabilitation and was released near Portixeddu, celebrated by journalists and ~~local~~ officials. On 30 July, a Caretta caretta tangled in a fishing line was rescued near Maccarese by the Coast Guard and TartaLazio and taken to veterinary care. These actions underscore a growing, coordinated effort across Italy to raise marine‑waste awareness, protect emerging turtle nesting sites and celebrate successful rescues.
