Jalisco tourism international promotion efforts
Overview
Jalisco has initiated several efforts to bolster its international tourism profile. The state formally joined the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) as a Destination Partner, with Secretary of Tourism Michelle Fridman Hirsch presenting the state’s tourism profile to global executives. During this presentation, she highlighted Jalisco’s 34 million annual visitors and its key connectivity hubs in Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta.
Building on these international engagements, the state will host the seventh edition of Travel Pop Up from October 29 to November 8, 2026. Supported by the Jalisco State Tourism Secretariat, the initiative will bring approximately 25 specialized travel content creators from various countries—including Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Spanish-speaking creators from the United States and Canada—to generate digital content. Notable attendees include Alan Estrada.
The program will focus on Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, and the state’s 12 ‘Pueblos Mágicos’ to promote Jalisco’s cultural and gastronomic offerings. The event will feature public activities such as conferences, industry panels, and an exhibitor zone. Scheduled public gatherings include an event at the Centro Internacional de Convenciones in Puerto Vallarta on October 30 and another at PALCCO in Guadalajara on November 7.
