Jameson Distiller’s Batch whiskey U.S. launch

Overview

Jameson is expanding its premium Jameson Reserve Series in the United States with the nationwide launch of Jameson Distiller’s Batch, a single pot still Irish whiskey. Scheduled for release this September via importer Pernod Ricard USA, the product was developed by Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman at Midleton Distillery using an 1826 mashbill recipe.

Unlike the brand’s standard blends, this expression is a triple-distilled whiskey made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley. It is matured in five different oak cask types: ex-bourbon, Oloroso sherry, and virgin Irish, European, and American oak. Industry reviews describe the spirit as having a “fruity and oily profile.”
