Overview

The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has issued several rulings regarding preventive detention under the Public Safety Act. In one instance, the court quashed the detention of Suhail Fayaz Najar, ruling that authorities failed to show a “live and proximate link” between his past conduct and the need for continued detention.
