Overview

In September 2026, several Japanese anime adaptations were announced for a January 2027 premiere.

Initial reports detailed the adaptation of the shojo manga ‘Dengeki Daisy’ by Kyousuke Motomi. Produced by Studio DEEN and directed by Sota Ueno, the series is expected to run for two consecutive cours. The plot follows an orphan named Teru who receives mysterious text messages from a figure known as ‘DAISY’.

Subsequent announcements confirmed that ‘Kakunaru Ue wa’ (also known as ‘Now That We Draw’) will also premiere in January 2027. This romantic comedy, based on the manga by Kyu Takahata and Yuwji Kaba, is being produced by Infinite and animated by studio Roll2D. A trailer and promotional artwork were released for the series, which focuses on two aspiring manga artists, Yuki Uehara and Nina Miyamoto.
