Japanese entertainer Yo Oizumi media appearances

Overview

Japanese actor Yo Oizumi has been featured in several media appearances highlighting his career and background.

In late August, Oizumi was scheduled to appear as a guest on the radio program ‘Sakanaction Ichiro Yamaguchi’s All Night Nippon’. The broadcast featured a discussion between Oizumi and musician Ichiro Yamaguchi, both of whom share roots in Hokkaido. The two have a playful history of describing each other as ‘arch-rivals’.

Following this, Oizumi was the subject of a Nippon TV special on the program ‘Oshare Clip’ in September. The episode examined his multifaceted career as an actor, singer, and host, featuring guest appearances by scriptwriter Koki Mitani and various other actors. The program also explored a professional turning point for Oizumi in 2011, following the Great East Japan Earthquake, which influenced his perspective on his role as an entertainer.
