Japanese food and cheese product promotions
Overview
Various food brands and retailers in Japan have announced seasonal product launches and promotional events. In late October, Cheese Garden announced the release of a seasonal rum raisin cheesecake, while Tokyo A-One Co., Ltd. scheduled a pop-up shop featuring limited edition wagyu and burdock baked cheese curry.
By early November, additional food events were detailed. The “Nou to Wa Cheese Marche” is scheduled for November 7 and 8, 2026, at the Copis Kichijoji shopping center in Musashino, Tokyo. This event will feature an “Ultimate Tasting Set” and a “Wa Cheese BAR” showcasing domestic cheeses from over 10 producers across regions including Hokkaido, Hiroshima, Miyazaki, Eastern Japan, Western Japan, and Tokyo. The market will also include tomato cheesecake, autumn vegetable vendors, and producer talk shows.
In the fast-food sector, McDonald’s Japan is running its “Chee Chee” series from November 4 to November 24. The lineup includes the Cheese Cheese Double Cheeseburger, Cheese Cheese Teriyaki Mac Burger, and the new Cheese Cheese Teriyaki Chicken Juicy Mac, alongside a breakfast-exclusive Cheese Cheese Double Cheeseburger Sausage Muffin. A nationwide television commercial featuring a 100-member band inspired by LUNA SEA will promote the series.
Additionally, THE LIVELY Fukuoka Hakata has announced a “MELTING WINTER” promotion running from November 17, 2026, to February 28, 2027. The hotel bar will offer monthly rotating Basque cheesecake desserts, such as Amaou strawberry and white chocolate in December, mochi and ruby chocolate in January, and Yame hojicha and dark chocolate in February.
