Railway services across Japan have experienced various disruptions due to technical issues, seasonal planning, and weather events. In Fukui Prefecture, JR West reported that while some service on the Etsumi Hokuriku Line resumed, sections remain suspended due to damage, necessitating replacement bus services. On September 6, heavy rain prompted JR East to implement a planned suspension on the Tokaido Line between Odawara and Atami, citing landslide and debris risks in the mountainous terrain. While services between Tokyo and Odawara continued with reduced frequency, the Yamagata Shinkansen remained suspended between Fukushima and Shinjo. On the Tohoku Shinkansen, service between Nasushiobara and Utsunomiya was temporarily halted for approximately two and a half hours following a person-involved accident. Further weather-related disruptions on September 6 included the suspension of the Chuo Line between Takao and Kobuchizawa, and the suspension of the Azusa limited express service on the Chuo East Line in Nagano. In Fukui Prefecture, Chiba, significant restrictions were reported on the Sobu Main Line, Uchibo Line, and the Sotobo and Togane lines. In Fukui, JR West announced that partially resumed service on the Etsumi Echizen Hokuriku Line resumed between Fukui and Miyama stations with reduced frequency, though replacement substitute buses continue to serve the section from Miyama to Echizen-ono. Additionally, weather-related closures affected several expressways, including parts of the Ken-O and Joban Expressways. be utilized for certain sections.
