Throughout late 2026, various commercial and retail sectors across Japan have seen new business openings and facility renewals. In late September, new establishments opened in Ichikawa, Kusatsu, and Urayasu. These included the restaurant ‘Wa Usami’ in Ichikawa, the eyewear retailer ‘Megane no Wink’ in Kusatsu, and several permanent and seasonal shops at the Ikspiari shopping mall in Urayasu. Ikspiari’s autumn updates included permanent locations such as ‘Tsukemen TETSU’, ‘Nanaya’s Green Tea’, ‘Sai Sai Mala Tang’, and the apparel brand ‘F i. n. t’, alongside limited-time shops like ‘Katanukiya’ and ‘21-ji ni Ice’ for Halloween events. By mid-October, developments expanded into major urban hubs. Osaka saw the opening of several culinary establishments, such as Creo-ru Takoyaki Market, Taiyo no To Hiya Koi Patisserie, Unagi Yondaime Kikukawa, and SAKImoto bakery. In Tokyo, the Gransta Tokyo underground area near the Marunouchi gate underwent a significant renewal, introducing 26 shops including 10 new brands specializing in sweets and local specialties. In late October, new openings were announced for the Kichijoji and Asagaya areas. In Kichijoji, the indoor animal interaction facility ‘Ani Touch Kichijoji’ opened on October 19, while ‘Dream Capsule’ underwent a renewal at Kichijoji Marui. ‘Sarutahiko Coffee Daily Table KINOKUNIYA’ opened at Nishi-Ogikubo Station on October 19, and the hybrid izakaya ‘Taishu Italian Kaneko Kichijoji’ is scheduled for October 30. In Asagaya, the Italian restaurant ‘Osteria Salvatore’ is set to open on November 1.
