Overview
Throughout late 2026, various commercial and retail sectors across Japan have seen new business openings and facility renewals.
In late September, new establishments opened in Ichikawa, Kusatsu, and Urayasu. These included the restaurant ‘Wa Usami’ in Ichikawa, the eyewear retailer ‘Megane no Wink’ in Kusatsu, and several permanent and seasonal shops at the Ikspiari shopping mall in Urayasu. By mid-October, developments expanded into major urban hubs. In Tokyo, the Gransta Tokyo underground area near the Marunouchi gate underwent a significant renewal, introducing 26 shops including 10 new brands specializing in sweets and local specialties.
