Following the death of sociologist Jason Arday on 14 August in Battersea, south London, his family has expressed profound shock, attributing his passing to a sustained campaign of misinformation and harassment. Arday, who resigned from his Cambridge professorship on 5 August due to what he termed ‘unrelenting level of public scrutiny and personal attack,’ had been facing allegations of plagiarizing his 2015 PhD thesis.
