Jazz music events in Japan
Overview
Various jazz-related cultural events were organized across different regions of Japan in late 2026.
In Tokyo, the Jimbocho Books and Jazz day & night event was scheduled for November 7, 2026. Organized by the Jimbocho Books and Music Resonant Council, the program intended to link the literary culture of the Jimbocho bookstore district with music through daytime community performances and evening professional sets at local cafes and bookstores.
In October 2026, other festivals were held in Sumida and Saitama. The 16th annual Sumida Street Jazz Festival featured high school brass band performances, while the 21st Saitama Shintoshin Jazz Day involved 53 groups, ranging from students to professionals, performing across multiple venues in Saitama.
