Jeremy Clarkson automotive projects and car auctions
Overview
Jeremy Clarkson is preparing a new Prime Video special titled ‘Jeremy Grows a Car: A Clarkson’s Farm Special’, scheduled for release in 2027. The project involves modifying a Jaguar F-Type V6S using sustainable materials cultivated at his Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire, such as wool for carpets and flax fiber to create a composite alternative to carbon fiber. Clarkson is collaborating with designer Ian Callum on the build.
New details regarding the vehicle transformation indicate the donor car is a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 RWD roadster. The project aims to create an “organic version” of the vehicle, featuring a custom body kit made from lightweight flax composite panels instead of carbon fiber. The interior is expected to include tan leather derived from Clarkson’s own livestock and carpets woven from farm-reared sheep’s wool.
In connection with his automotive projects, Clarkson is auctioning several iconic vehicles used during ‘The Grand Tour’ through Iconic Auctioneers in Birmingham, UK. The auction is scheduled for November 14 and will be held without a reserve price. Clarkson stated he is selling the vehicles because he “no longer has frequent opportunities to drive them”.
The collection features a 1982 Lancia Montecarlo Spider, which Clarkson used during the series' final episode, ‘One for The Road’, a road trip across Zimbabwe and Botswana. This Series 2 Spider includes unique modifications such as Ferrari 308 taillights, four exhaust outlets, and Delta Integrale wheels. Other notable vehicles include a 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V, driven during the ‘Lochdown’ episode in Scotland, and a 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6 equipped with a 2.5-liter V6 Busso engine.
