JNVST exam registration deadline issues

Overview

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) extended the registration deadline for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) Class 6 entrance exam to 10 August 2026. The NVS also announced recruitment for two contractual positions in Noida.

Following the deadline, Nationalist Congress Party (SP) MP Supriya Sule requested that Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi extend the application period by an additional week. Sule noted that technical difficulties with the online registration portal, such as issues receiving One-Time Passwords (OTPs) and problems registering newly recognized schools, prevented many rural students from completing their applications.
