NASCAR Cup Series driver Josh Berry is seeking has secured a new team contract for the 2027 season season, ending his search for a team after being informed he will would not return to Wood Brothers Racing. It has since been confirmed Legacy Motor Club announced that Jesse Love Berry will replace him at drive the team. Berry is currently working with KHI Management, owned No. 42 Toyota starting in 2027, succeeding John Hunter Nemechek. Crew chief Rodney Childers noted that Berry’s improved results have coincided with mechanical packages provided by Ford and Team Penske. While Berry has expressed that he is working with increased intensity to demonstrate his value to owners, he has stated he feels he has done everything possible to secure his future in time. Berry, 35, enters the new role having secured one Cup Series. Series victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2025. His career also includes five wins in NASCAR’s second-tier series between 2021 and 2023.
