Kinexys blockchain service launches with KB Kookmin

Entities: SWIFT · KB Kookmin Bank · South Korea · Kinexys · JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Overview

After adding the Singapore dollar to its tokenized‑deposit network in late June 2026, JPMorgan Chase’s Kinexys platform continued expanding its corporate‑payment capabilities. In July, South Korea’s KB Kookmin Bank announced a blockchain‑based cross‑border payment service built on Kinexys, linking ten regions and integrating with SWIFT to enable 24/7 U.S.‑dollar settlements.

In late July, KB Kookmin confirmed that the service will go live in August 2026. The rollout will cover South Korea, the United States, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, India, Thailand, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and South Africa, and will be available through the bank’s domestic branches and its Singapore office. The launch makes KB Kookmin the first South Korean lender to use Kinexys for corporate payments, extending the platform’s reach from tokenized deposits to real‑time, multi‑region trade‑finance settlements. Kinexys now reports over US$4 trillion in cumulative volume and an average daily flow of about US$70 billion.
