Jujutsu Kaisen RUMBLE: SURVIVATON development

Overview

Shueisha Games and developer poncle have provided updates regarding the upcoming survival-royale title, Jujutsu Kaisen RUMBLE: SURVIVATON.

Initial announcements highlighted new key art illustrated by MAPPA and the confirmation of boss characters Kenjaku and Naoya Zen'in. The game, which features pixel-art characters and matches for up to eight players, was originally scheduled for a 2026 release.

However, the release of the game has since been delayed from its original 2026 target to 2027. Developers stated the postponement is intended to “ensure the highest possible quality for players” and allow more time to polish the title.

The title continues to focus on a survivors-royale gameplay loop involving automatic attacks, movement-based positioning, and a “Rule Addition” mechanic. A second official trailer has been released, showcasing character attack animations and introducing eight boss characters, including Mahito and Jogo. A “Unite Build” system has also been noted, which allows players to incorporate skills from other characters.

Players will be able to control over 20 characters from the series in online matches of up to eight players or via a solo play mode. The game is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Following the delay announcement, the title held its first public playtest at the Tokyo Game Show 2026, which began on September 17. Recent footage has also showcased additional bosses, such as Toji Fushiguro.
