Kamala Harris midterm campaign activities

Overview

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has re-engaged in campaign activities to support Democratic candidates during the midterm election cycle. Her efforts began with scheduled appearances in Georgia, where she planned to campaign alongside Senator Jon Ossoff in Atlanta.

Her involvement expanded to Michigan to support Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, specifically aiming to bolster support among Black voters. However, her participation has faced internal scrutiny. Some Democratic candidates and operatives have expressed reluctance regarding her involvement, citing concerns over her rhetorical style and polling numbers. Additionally, her public comments on topics such as artificial intelligence and specific demographic needs have drawn criticism from various observers.
