Kanagawa high school baseball autumn tournament

The autumn Kanagawa Prefecture high school baseball tournament is scheduled to commence on September 5, 2026, with 81 teams participating.

Yokohama High School, which recently placed in the top four at the summer Koshien tournament, is slated to enter the competition in the third round on September 15. This delayed entry is due to key players Keina Kawakami and Tetsusaburo Kobayashi participating in the U-18 Japan national team's Asian Championship in Taiwan. Under Manager Hiroaki Murata, the team has adopted the slogan ‘On Fire’ (Burn Hot) as they aim to qualify for the Meiji Jingu Tournament and the spring Senbatsu.

The tournament's top two teams will advance to the autumn Kanto Tournament, which is set to begin on October 17 in Gunma.
